AS IT ENTERS 54TH GRAMMY AWARDS NOMINATION CONSIDERATION, INSTRUMENTAL COMPOSITION “DECLARATION ANTHEM” ADDS HOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARDS NOMINATION TO GROWING LIST OF INDUSTRY ACCOLADES
FOX Sports commissioned Placement Music to create an original instrumental composition for its global Super Bowl salute to U.S. Soldiers that aired right before kick-off. “Declaration Anthem” (Steve Dancz, composer) became the soundtrack to a star-studded, emotional and incredibly moving salute that led directly into what would become the biggest event in television history with 162 million viewers worldwide.
Right after kick-off, the full version of “Declaration Anthem”, as well as a radio edit and ringtone were made available as a charity download on iTunes and Amazon.com with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit that helps the hundreds of thousands of U.S. soldiers who were wounded during duty and are now recovering back home.
”Declaration Anthem” was composed by Placement Music creative team member Steve Dancz, co-produced by Tammy Hurt, Founding Partner, and engineered by multiple GRAMMY-winner Leslie Ann Jones. We were honored recently at the 32nd Annual Telly Awards with two Silver Tellys and just received a Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) nomination in Visual Media for Best Score – Special Feature.
HMMA recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums (film, TV, movie trailers, video games, commercials, music videos, etc.), the talented individuals responsible for creating, producing and placing it, and the music of artists, both mainstream and independent, from around the globe. HMMA was the first music awards event to recognize and honor excellence in music supervision.
