Kevin Spencer began his career as a musician/writer/producer at age 15 with the Vancouver rock band The Misunderstood. His groundwork with The Misunderstood led to his participation in more than 20 records, and 40 tours including Lilith Fair. Spencer was the youngest person on the Lilith Fair tour, and it landed him in Rolling Stone. He was soon summoned to New York City for an audition, which led to a the lead role in the national tour of Broadway’s “Rent” – a part he played for almost two years.
Spencer released his solo debut EP, “Alone Not Lonely”, in 2009 The record, produced by Spencer and Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter) with mixing by Thom Russo (Jay-Z, Audioslave, Prince) has steadily been gaining momentum since its debut. Spencer also works extensively as an assistant to master producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan). An accomplished theater and rock vocalist, Spencer plays virtually every instrument – from bass to guitar, piano to drums.
