November 5, 2009 – Atlanta music industry gurus Tammy Hurt and Elizabeth Elkins announce the creation of Placement Music, a company specializing in the licensing, creation and placement of high quality music in films, television, gaming, advertising and all other forms of media. The company website, www.placementmusic.com, launched in beta form October 26.
What makes Placement Music a stand out from every other music licensing firm is the quality, sound and integrity of the music the company creates, produces and represents. The company’s roster of award-winning songwriters, producers, engineers and musicians includes Nick DiDia, Peter Stroud, Russ-T Cobb, Kevin Spencer, Mark Dannells, Chris Rickwood and Tony Reyes. Our first session of original content was written and recorded by Placement Music team members for potential “sports-themed” broadcast and in-stadium opportunities. We recorded at Southern Tracks Recording Studios in Atlanta. The music was produced by Nick DiDia with Peter Stroud on guitar, Tony Reyes on bass and Steve Moretti on drums. Calling All Voices at Tree Studios
Placement Music is spending the weekend at Tree Studios for the Calling All Voices project. BET dropped by Friday for filming during the tracking of the song “Mother Earth” which was written by Placement Music team member Tony Reyes. Placement’s Tammy Hurt is the Project Manager, and contributed some percussion – alongside Placement Music drummer Steve Moretti.
